To understand Cost Per Link Click (CPC), let's first understand what are link clicks. 
 
Link clicks refer to the number of clicks on links within the ad that lead to a specific destination, whether it is on or off of Facebook. 
 
For Example:
 
Let's say you are running a Facebook conversion ad to a specific product page of your online store. When people click on the link on your ad to the specific product page, that click is considered a link click. 
 
Cost Per Link Click (CPC) shows the average cost of a link click. To calculate CPC, take the total amount spent on ads divided by the number of link clicks:
 
CPC = Total Amount Spent / Total Link Clicks  
 
Generally, you want to keep your CPC as low as possible. We find that a good benchmark for eCommerce is a CPC that is $1.50 or below. However, there are other metrics that you need to look for as well, such as CTR and Cost Per Sale to determine the effectiveness of your ads.
